BPDC01 BKHC02 Brake System Pad Replacement Guide

The BKHC02 brake system is designed for light duty applications (kids recreational go karts, buggies, or other lightweight projects, or projects where braking is rarely used).

Replacing the pads is an easy job with a couple of small tricks required to complete quickly.

Remove the calliper from your vehicle. Place on a bench with the bleed nipple facing downwards as shown.

Push the large black bracket with the two holes and pins back toward the rear of the calliper until the pad attached to the other black bracket is sitting right at the end of the pins, then push the top of that bracketted pad towards the rear of the calliper and wiggle it over the pins until removed. Sometimes it’s tricky, but a bit of practice will get you there.
