PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY: SPRAY SOME WD-40 ON A RAG AND WIPE THE INSIDE OF THE DRUM.
ASSEMBLY:

- INSTALL (6) 1 1/8″ O.D. SPACER ON ENGINE SHAFT AGAINST SHOULDER.
- INSTALL HARDENED BEARING RACE ON ENGINE SHAFT AGAINST THE SPACERS.
- INSTALL #4-40 BUTTON HEAD SCREW INTO DRUM FROM SPROCKET SIDE.
(CLEAN TAPPED HOLE & SCREW AND APPLY LOC-TITE PRIOR TO INSTALLING) - ASSEMBLE SPROCKET AND DRUM, INSTALL RETAINING RING (CENTER THE GAP BETWEEN THE EARS OF THE SNAP RING ON THE PORTION OF THE SCREW PROTRUDING INTO THE DRUM), INSTALL BEARING (IF SUPPLIED LOOSE) ONTO ENGINE SHAFT, OVER BEARING RACE AND AGAINST SPACER.
- INSTALL 2 1/4″ O.D. SPACER AGAINST SPROCKET.
- INSTALL HUB/SHOE/SPRING MECHANISM ONTO SHAFT AGAINST 2 1/4″ O.D. SPACER.
- INSTALL WASHER AND BOLT ON END OF ENGINE SHAFT AND TIGHTEN. NO GAP IS REQUIRED WHEN USING THE CONVERSION KIT. CLUTCH CAN BE CLAMPED TIGHT ON THE SHAFT.
