This is the correct, thick washer to retain the clutch on a 1″ (25.4mm) crankshaft.
Thin washers will buckle over time, allowing the retainer bolt to unscrew and will end with the clutch falling off the shaft if you’re not careful. This causes significant damage to the drivetrain and sometimes the crankshaft.
