WARNING: When fitting this item, ensure splits are located at opposite ends of the sprocket (180 degrees rotated). Also, splits should be fitted 90 degrees rotated from the split in a 2-piece sprocket. Failing to do this can weaken the guard and cause premature failure – it is not designed for sideways flex. It is also important to ensure there is enough clearance between the guard and the chain – some chain links may be wider than usual and can contact the guard which will cause chain bind, and may split or damage the guard.
